The Monserrate Collection
The Palacio de Monserrate was traditionally a summer palace for Portuguese royalty in the 19th century. Built in 1858 the palace is a stunning testament to romantic, Moorish architecture. The eclectic structure shows Islamic, gothic and local influences which make it a unique and intriguing point of interest. Located close to the historic centre of Sintra, the Palacio also imbibes Indian influences which made this the perfect spot to inspire our latest collection. Each garment from this collection references the rich, botanical gardens around the Palacio and features a variety of painstakingly intricate designs and embroidery.
Monserrate collection filters its vision of masculinity through a soft colour lens. The overarching inspiration for the collection starts with sunrise, and the colours that appear in the sky from dusk to dawn. Inspired by the whimsical flair of Palacio de Monserrate and its magnificent gardens, the embellishments in this collection blends Indian and Moorish motifs with a floral theme.”
You will find an ethnically inspired collection layered with delicate zardozi, ari, pitta and resham work all done by hand.
