H&S Travel Essentials

We don’t know if it’s the scorching heat or just the general vibe of the city but come May, we are itching to exit India and take on some international adventures. Most of us are lucky enough to get to travel a fair amount whether this is for work or play and have gotten the science of flying down to an art. We know what time to leave the house, what to pack and exactly what to order at the lounge. Now that we’re prepping for our own summer holidays, we thought it would be wise to make a list of our travel essentials just to make sure we haven’t forgotten anything.

Portable Pillow

Even if you’re flying first class, flight delays are an unavoidable part of life. Whether you’re stuck in a traffic jam, on a long-haul flight or taking the train between cities; it’s always handy to have a pillow with you to help you catch a few winks. Choose one with memory foam rather than an inflatable one or one with Styrofoam beads for extra comfort. A lightweight, compact pillow can really be a life saver for those tricky situations.

Toothbrush and toothpaste

Although most airlines do offer these for passengers, we always find that those tiny toothbrushes really don’t do the trick. It’s important to carry a small toilet kit anyway but make sure to include a small tube of toothpaste and your regular toothbrush. You can always throw in an eye mask and ear plugs to down out any noisy babies.

Whether you are traveling for work or play it is imperative that you carry a few basics with you. These include one or two shirts in either white, blue, stripes or checks. A couple of pairs of lightweight trousers that can double up as your work wardrobe or and outfit for a night out. You also want to carry one pair of good formal shoes in case you are invited to a nice dinner or club.

Traveling across the world means you will be hitting a lot of time zones and a lot of temperatures as well. We all know that long-haul flights tend to be freezing cold and sometimes those airline blankets just don’t cut it. Carry one light cardigan and a shawl or throw to stay warm through your flight and at your destination as well.
